How to Get Free YouTube Likes?

Three steps, no account, no app. The whole thing takes under two minutes.

Copy the Video URL

On YouTube, tap Share, then Copy Link. A Shorts link (youtube.com/shorts/...) works the same as a regular one.

Paste It in the Box Above

Press Start. A 30-minute timer then runs before the same device can send the next request.

Watch the Count Move

Delivery usually starts within 3 minutes. At busy times, allow up to an hour before it begins.

We Tested It: Free YouTube Likes on Our Own Video

On September 24, 2026, we ran this free tool on a video from our own YouTube channel, SMM8 Panel. The video was published in March 2025 and had only 2 likes before the test, so any change comes from the tool. Here is exactly what happened.

StepTime (local)Likes
Before the test4:59 PM2

First check after the order5:06 PM15
After 24 hoursSep 25, 11:36 PM15 (no drop)
After 7 daysOct 1, 2026Update coming
  • 13 likes delivered from a single free order (the tool lists 10 likes per order).
  • Delivery started in about 2 minutes after the order was confirmed.
  • This was one test on one video. Delivery usually starts within 3 minutes to 1 hour; in this test, the likes arrived within 2 minutes.
  • After 24 hours, all 13 delivered likes were still there (15 likes on Sep 25). We will add the 7-day count here too.

Why Does the Like Count Matter More Since 2021?

In November 2021, YouTube made dislike counts private across the platform. The dislike button still exists, and creators can still see their exact dislike numbers in YouTube Studio, but viewers no longer can, according to YouTube's official announcement. The practical effect: the like count is now the only public approval number a viewer sees under a video. A new upload sitting at zero has nothing to show a first-time visitor, which is exactly the gap the free tool is meant to cover.

What Can Any Viewer See?

  • View count
  • Like count
  • Comments

What Can Only You See in YouTube Studio?

  • Dislike count
  • Audience retention
  • Impressions click-through rate

How Does YouTube Actually Use Likes?

Likes do feed YouTube's recommendations, but as one signal among several. YouTube's own explanation of its recommendation system names six signals that build on each other: clicks, watch time, survey responses, shares, likes, and dislikes. It also says the weight of each signal depends on the individual viewer, so there is no fixed formula (source: YouTube Blog). The free tool touches exactly one of these six.

Clicks

Won by the title and thumbnail. Likes play no part here.

Watch Time

How long people actually stay. Driven by the video itself.

Survey Responses

Viewers rating what they watched. Out of any tool's reach.

Shares

Viewers sending the video on. A strong satisfaction signal.

Likes

The one signal the free tool adds to, and the one viewers can see.

Dislikes

Private since 2021, but still used to tune what viewers are shown.

In practice, that means likes help a video look worth a click to people who land on it, while the title, thumbnail, and first seconds of the video decide how far YouTube carries it.

Where Do Free Likes Help, and Where Don't They?

Good Uses

  • A new upload that would otherwise open at zero
  • Checking start time and delivery pace before a paid order
  • Spreading small amounts across several recent videos

Won't Fix

  • A weak thumbnail or title that nobody clicks
  • Viewers leaving in the first few seconds
  • A video YouTube has no reason to recommend yet

Four Reasons a Request Goes Wrong

A channel link instead of a video link. Likes belong to a single video, so the tool needs that video's own URL.

A private or unlisted video. If a logged-out visitor can't open it, the tool can't reach it either.

All 48 requests on one video in one day. A sudden jump on a single upload stands out more than a steady trickle.

Likes far out of line with views. Hundreds of likes on a video with a few dozen views looks odd to anyone who checks.

What Do YouTube's Rules Say?

YouTube's fake engagement policy does not allow anything that artificially increases views, likes, comments, or other metrics through automatic systems, and it notes that choices made by someone you hire to promote your channel can affect your channel too. When YouTube detects artificial engagement, it can remove it from the count, and repeated violations can lead to content removal. Keeping requests small and spread out, and treating free likes as a starting push rather than a growth plan, keeps that risk as low as it can be. It can't make it zero.

Free Likes or a Paid Order?

Both draw from the same delivery system. The difference is volume and speed.

OptionBest For
Free tool (above)Checking how delivery behaves on your own video, within the daily cap
Paid orderMore than about 480 likes a day, or several videos at once without waiting on the timer

Full pricing for likes, views, subscribers, and comments is on the YouTube SMM panel page.

Want to try a paid service first? A new SMM8 account comes with a small trial balance (about $0.01). That is enough to test a very cheap service and judge delivery before you add funds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to give you my YouTube or Google password?

No. The tool only needs the public link to your video. SMM8 never asks for a password or any login access to your Google account.

Does this work on private or unlisted videos?

No. The tool can only reach videos that a logged-out visitor could open, so the video has to be public.

Does it work on YouTube Shorts?

Yes. Public Shorts and long-form videos both work. Paste the Shorts link exactly as YouTube gives it to you.

Will free likes get my video recommended?

Not on their own. YouTube lists likes as one of several recommendation signals, alongside clicks, watch time, survey responses, shares, and dislikes, and weighs them differently for each viewer. Likes mainly help a video look worth watching to people who find it.

How many free likes can I get per day?

Each request adds 10 likes, and you can send a new request every 30 minutes. That is up to 48 requests, or about 480 likes, in 24 hours.

Why can viewers see likes but not dislikes?

YouTube made dislike counts private in November 2021. Creators can still see dislikes in YouTube Studio, but the like count is the only approval number shown publicly.

Is using free likes against YouTube's rules?

YouTube's fake engagement policy does not allow artificially increasing likes or other metrics through automatic systems, and YouTube can remove engagement it detects as artificial. Small, spread-out requests lower the chance of that, but no tool can remove the risk entirely.

What is the difference between the free tool and paid YouTube likes?

Both use the same delivery system. The free tool is capped at about 480 likes a day with a 30-minute timer, while a paid order delivers larger amounts without waiting between requests.
